Mirantis Delivers Updates that Provide High Performance Storage for Large-Scale Kubernetes Deployments

Oct 24, 2022

New software releases of Mirantis Container Cloud and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine accelerate ZeroOps initiative, deliver consistent Kubernetes across infrastructure providers

DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KUBECON--Mirantis, freeing developers to create their most valuable code, today announced product updates that enable high performance data storage for large-scale Kubernetes deployments, and also support for Google Cloud Platform – delivering a consistent Kubernetes experience across multiple infrastructure providers.

“This is a key part of our plan to deliver true ZeroOps so customers spend less time setting up, running, and maintaining their infrastructure and more time building value,” said Shaun O’Meara, field chief technology officer, Mirantis. “We’re solving the problem of persistent storage supporting petabyte-sized clusters all on kubernetes and, importantly, making it trivial to manage Kubernetes regardless of where it is running.”

With this update to Mirantis Container Cloud (MCC), it is now possible to run mission-critical workloads supporting millions of users, with petabytes of data storage accessible by Kubernetes clusters via open source Ceph. Go here for detailed information on what is new in MCC.

An update to Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE) adds Google Cloud Platform to existing support for virtual machines, bare metal, hosted bare-metal on Equinix Metal, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. MKE is capable of running both Swarm and Kubernetes simultaneously on the same cluster, providing flexibility to choose orchestrators interchangeably for both Linux and Windows nodes. About ZeroOps

ZeroOps refers to a collection of products and managed services that work at the platform and application levels to help organizations focus less on technology infrastructure and more on delivery of modern apps that are critical to business. At the infrastructure level, ZeroOps solves the basic problems of cloud native platform provisioning and management on any infrastructure, providing as-a-service on-demand availability of technologies such as Kubernetes, Swarm, and OpenStack. At the application level, ZeroOps provides solutions and services to accelerate cloud native transformation, including application migration, managed CI/CD-as-a-service, frameworks for rapid web application deployment at scale, and tools to accelerate Kubernetes software development and operations.
